The Märchenzelt in Augsburg…

…is the year-round theatre tent at the Augsburg cultural centre “Abraxas”. A fire burns in the middle, and the smoke escapes through an opening in the roof. The audience circle comfortably seats about 40 adults or around 60 children, roughly 2 school classes. With extra seating, more people can be accommodated as needed.

About the children's birthday

Of course, your favourite fairy tale will be told; the themes are agreed individually with the storyteller in advance. The cauldron of magical “fairy-tale punch” is hung over the fire, and on request sausages are grilled or twist bread is baked. You can help put firewood on the fire and call up the fairy tales. For the little ones aged 4 and up we offer join-in fairy tales with singing, stamping and clapping.

In winter you can also use the extra blankets under the seats, and the second tent wall keeps the cold out from behind. In summer the side wall of the tent is opened depending on the temperature, creating a lovely shady spot.

The mobile Märchenzelt gives guest performances throughout the German-speaking world.
We tell stories all year round! The next programme is published about one to two months before the current one ends and can be viewed and booked in the schedule.

Group size: guests = age of the birthday child + 2 ( e.g. birthday child aged 6 = 8 guests); siblings are not counted; at least 2 adults to accompany and help, more adults by arrangement

Duration: the programme lasts approx. 90 min./ incl. grilling sausages or baking twist bread over the campfire (excl. ingredients)

Price: 250,00 € at weekends and on public holidays / 220,00 € Mon - Fri. / binding reservations only with advance payment!

Food
